Raven
In Magic Tails Chapter 1 - Raven Birth, Soy Blossom, Raven is born out of an exploding volcano and becomes the first land creature on Earth. She spends many seasons flying over land and sea, mountain and valley, seeing all Earth's beauty and magic. After her long journey, Raven meets Soy—a magical cat born from a flower.
Raven's character was inspired by a friend of mine named Ravven. She left Soy (the real cat who inspired the character Soy) in my care while she went on a journey to the Pacific Northwest.
Traditionally, ravens are found in myths all across the world - from the Norse Viking to the Native American mythologies. In Norse mythology, two ravens accompany the important god Odin. In Native American mythology, the raven brings light to humans living in darkness. The Raven is a powerful being, full of magic and helpful tricks.
