Stag and Vayu, the Deer Stag gets his name from the traditional word for male deer. Vayu gets her name from the mythology of India. The goddess of the wind, named Vayu, rode a deer. In Blanco's Magic Tails, Stag and Vayu arrived on Earth through Soy's doorway at the same time - 10 years after the doorway was opened. They spent much of their time grazing in the meadow around Big Tree and running through the forest with other animals. If a deer comes to you in a dream, meditation, or everyday life, it could mean that you are a gentle, graceful and intuitive person who doesn't use force to reach a goal. You could be entering a phase where your dreams will be more powerful and insightful than usual. You should try to accept others for who they really are, rather than who you would like them to be. Deer also represents the cycle of transformation between death and rebirth. Female deer (or a Doe) represent psychic powers, sharp perception, immediate alertness for danger, and following different paths to reach your goals. Male deer (or a Stag) bring messages from your 'spirit guides'. Conway, D.J. Animal Magick.
